Grab your friends and family, flags and vuvuzelas to celebrate the spirit of soccer at Ster-Kinekor Theatres (SKT), who will be screening the 2009 Confederations Cup Games live and free of charge from Sunday 14 June.
Each cinema will be transformed into a festive soccer experience – the perfect venue for the family.
Tickets will be available to public at participating cinemas 5 days prior to each match; limited to 4 tickets per person per game, on a “first come, first served” basis.
“Ster-Kinekor Theatres is very excited about hosting free screenings for this monumental, international soccer event at our cinemas for this first time ever” says Ster-Kinekor Theatres CEO Fiaz Mahomed.
All the matches will be screened on SKT’s “big screens” at Parow Centre, Cavendish Square and Bayside Mall. Below follows the schedule for the Confederations Cup matches being screened at SKT, including the semi-finals (24 & 25 June) and finals (28 June). All matches will be screened live at all the participating SKT cinemas according to the schedule click here to view.

On Friday, 12 September Supersterre will be coming to Parow Centre. Patricia Lewis, Sony BMG Music Entertainment Africa (PTY) Ltd and Shoprite and Checkers are proud to present the nationwide talent search competition, Supersterre 3.
Are you South Africa’s next Superstar? Once again, Supersterre will give thousands of superstar hopefuls the opportunity to audition and stand a chance of being crowned South Africa’s next Superstar. The Supersterre winner will walk away with great prizes, including a Sony BMG recording contract to the value of R500 000.
Last year, thousands auditioned for Supersterre. The judges had the difficult task of deciding who should stay and “whose star had fallen”, but the overall winner was chosen by you, the public, with your sms votes.
The Supersterre 3 audition tour started at the end of August with Patricia Lewis, the creator, producer and presenter of Supersterre. After every audition session, Patricia will perform songs from her new CD, titled “Net Soos In Drome”. Kobus Muller, the Supersterre 2 winner, will be Patricia’s guest artist and will perform some favourites from his new self-titled CD, “Kobus Muller”. The audition starts at 16h00 and the performance by Patricia Lewis and Kobus Muller at 18h00.
Both the auditions and Patricia’s show are free. And what’s more, there will be numerous CD giveaways during the live show. Patricia will also announce the semi-finalists of the day during her live show.

Contestants must audition with one of the backtracks from the Supersterre 1 or Supersterre 2 album, which is available from Shoprite, Checkers or Checkers Hyper stores nationwide. Entry forms will be available, free of charge, during registration. There are no race, age or gender restrictions; you must however be willing to sing in English and Afrikaans. Contestants must arrive on time as displayed on the website.
